PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date: September 30, 2026. How Tool Genie protects your biometric privacy with on-device client processing and absolute zero-retention principles.

🛡️

The 3-Sentence Privacy Summary

1. We do not store, catalog, or sell your portrait photos.
2. Facial landmark detection runs locally on your device inside your web browser.
3. Any temporary local session state can be purged instantly using our Delete My History page.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Tool Genie operates under a strict principle of data minimization:

  • No Facial Databases: We never save uploaded photographs to persistent cloud disks or long-term servers.
  • No User Profiling: We do not ask for or collect names, government IDs, email addresses (unless you send us an inquiry via our contact form), or social media accounts to use the tool.
  • No Model Training: Your facial features and proportions are never utilized to train third-party generative facial synthesis or surveillance models.

2. How Biometric Processing Operates

When you select an image or click "Test With Demo":

  1. The image file is loaded into your browser's local HTML5 Canvas memory context.
  2. Client-side lightweight TensorFlow/FaceAPI neural weights detect 68 coordinate points representing key anatomical landmarks (pupils, nasion, subnasale, menton, gonion).
  3. Mathematical cephalometric ratios (trichion-glabella, canthal tilt angles, sagittal symmetry vectors) are calculated in JavaScript memory.
  4. Upon page refresh or navigating away, image memory buffers are garbage-collected by your browser.

3. Local Browser Storage & Your Deletion Rights

To enhance your user experience, Tool Genie may store non-sensitive local keys in your browser's `localStorage` (such as whether you tested a sample image or your current session score for downloadable report cards).

You have the absolute right to purge this data at any moment:

4. Third-Party Services & Server-Side Security

When optional server-side aesthetic analysis is requested via Gemini API:

  • Images are transmitted over strict HTTPS TLS 1.3 encrypted connections.
  • Images are held in volatile RAM only for the milliseconds required to generate the cephalometric summary.
  • No payload is stored on server disk logs or retained beyond the HTTP response lifecycle.
